About Me
** Hi, I’m Christine – and I’m proof that it’s never too late to start exploring. **
I’m 68 years old, a proud mum to two fabulous sons, and a very happy grandmother to four wonderful grandchildren. I spent my career as a Housing and Support Manager, and a couple of years ago I retired – and finally gave myself permission to do the thing I’d always dreamed of: travel.
Life has a way of putting other things first. Family, work, responsibilities. For years, travel was something I’d get to “one day.” I had a vision board covered in pictures of places I longed to visit – cities, landscapes, and right along the top, a cruise ship.
Then a few years ago, I took my first holiday abroad. A two-week cruise to the Canary Islands. I remember standing on that ship and thinking: *this is it. This is what I’ve been waiting for.
When I got home and was scrolling through my holiday photos, something stopped me. Our cruise ship looked familiar. I dug out my vision board, looked at the photo I’d pinned there years before, and Googled it.
It was the exact same ship.
I’d been manifesting that trip for years without even knowing it.
That moment changed everything. I came home not just with memories, but with a hunger for more. Since then I’ve been to Ölüdeniz in Türkiye – a solo trip that taught me that some of life’s greatest adventures begin the moment you say yes to yourself.
CLS Infinite Travel is the travel business I’ve built from that spark, AND Infinite Journeys is the blog I’ve created to help you discover places to explore.
Here you’ll find honest travel inspiration, practical tips, destination ideas, and real stories from someone who came to solo travel later in life – and never looked back.
I travel with my dog. I travel with accessibility needs. And I travel as a woman in my late sixties who refuses to let any of that be a reason to stay home.
If you’re a senior traveller, a dog owner, or someone who thinks travel might be getting harder rather than easier – this space is for you. You don’t have to give up the adventures. You just need the right information, a little inspiration, and maybe someone who’s figured a few things out ahead of you.
That’s exactly why I created Infinite Journeys.
Have a look around, read the blogs, and hopefully you’ll find a little inspiration for your own adventures. And if you ever need help planning or booking your next trip, I’m just a message away.
*Christine and Barney x*
