Recently I completed a training course about Czechia, and I have to admit that I discovered a country with far more to offer than I ever realised.
Like many people, I had always associated Czechia mainly with Prague, its beautiful architecture and famous Christmas markets. However, the training opened my eyes to the incredible variety of experiences available throughout the country.
For winter sports enthusiasts, Czechia offers excellent skiing opportunities in several mountain regions. Golfers can enjoy a range of attractive courses set in beautiful landscapes, while walkers and nature lovers can explore national parks, forests and countryside areas.
The country is also rich in history, culture and traditional food. From historic towns and castles to local cuisine and regional traditions, there is much more to discover than many travellers expect.
One aspect I particularly enjoyed was learning a few basic Czech phrases. Even simple words such as “Dobrý den” for good day and “Prosím” for please can help visitors feel more connected to the places they visit.
As a travel advisor, I believe ongoing training is extremely important. Every course I complete helps me understand destinations better and allows me to give more informed advice to future clients.
This training reminded me that some of the most rewarding travel experiences can be found in destinations that may not immediately appear at the top of our wish lists.
Czechia has certainly moved much higher on mine.
Have you ever visited Czechia, or is it somewhere you would consider exploring in the future?
